Since 1984, Fancywork Finishing has been creating and
restoring fine needlepoint furnishings for an international
clientele of cathedrals and churches. Clients include the
Washington National Cathedral in Washington D.C., Trinity
Episcopal in New York City, and the Cathedral of St. John
the Baptist in Savannah.
Nancy
Lukoskie and her team of artisans at Fancywork Finishing
design needlepoint artwork for clients based upon their
ecclesiastic traditions, unique history, and important
symbolism. With training and support from Nancy,
congregations stitch the needlepoint canvases creating a
lasting legacy for their church and sharing in an
extraordinary communal experience. Fancywork Finishing then
completes the projects with expert finishing-fitting each
hand-stitched canvas to the precise space or furnishing it
was designed for.
Nancy Lukoskie apprenticed in the centuries-old craft of
ecclesiastical needlepoint with mentors who served the
historic cathedrals and churches of Europe. She is the
guardian of traditional needlepoint techniques that have
been passed through generations and stood the test of time.
Nancy continues this legacy today through her work with
clients and by sharing these techniques in seminars and
workshops.
